From billet to blade, the making of an integral bolster chef's knife.

This two part video shows the making of a damascus billet and integral bolster chef's knife from 1084 and 15N20 high carbon steel. This billet was made using a coal fired forge and a treadle hammer. I have since built a forge press that makes the work go much faster and requires a lot less physical excertion.
