Nathan & Lindy spent the afternoon at LLForge making hand forged wall hooks. They took charge and learned some of the basic techniques of blacksmithing using a coal fired forge. Greg & Cherie return to the forge to complete thier aggressive first time forged projects. Greg chose a tactical knife made from 5160 steel, with birdseye maple scales and a rough forged finish. Cherie chose to make a garden bowl with stand from a 30" round piece of 18gauge steel and 5 twisted lengths of .5" round stock for the stand. Jason and I working on his first ever forged project, a hand forged wall hook. We had a great day in the forge while his wife Audrey enjoyed the peacful surroundings of LLForge. Learning to forge with Mike was an exceptional, one-of-a-kind experience. Mike was friendly, extra hospitable, and very informative as he guided me through forging a coat hook from mild steel. It was no stress, hands-on learning with excellent guidance. I will definitely be returning soon to work on
