Another great day at the forge. Two more beautiful knives and another super fun and successful "Create a Knife" experiential learning class. Thank you for coming Joe & Justine.

Both Joe & Steve chose a peened forge finish for their blades. Joe made a kydex sheath for the chef's knife and Steve made a leather sheath for his cleaver.

Nate used an 80CRV2 steel with African Blackwood scales and brass pins to ocmplete this beautiful cleaver.

I've always wanted to make mosaic damascus. After a few "not as successful" tries I finally came up with this billet. This billet was made by Nathan at my experiential learning experience, "From Blade to Billet". I persuaded Nathan to attempt a mosaic pattern. Mostly smooth sailing with a few uncertanties and hicups along the way, but all in all I think we ended up with a solid billet. Nathan is going to make a Kabar styled blade.
